Election officials throughout the country are seeing tremendous pressure across the system amid continued efforts to undermine confidence in elections. As Christians, we must be vocal in our support for these volunteers and public servants, ensuring we have a functioning civic society that protects and honors everyone. Our work through our congregations and communities gives us an opportunity to create a chorus of voices demanding free and fair elections. With our voices raised, we can ensure that every Attorney General throughout the country pledges to do all they can to support elections and protect election workers.

We are seeing a years-long effort to undermine confidence in U.S. elections. Some states, at the behest of Donald Trump, began an unprecedented effort to redraw maps for the midterm elections. Not satisfied with this, he also sent the FBI to seize ballots in Georgia. Throughout these efforts, the White House has been demanding that the SAVE Act be passed, which would nationalize our election process. With the threats against elections throughout the country, we must make sure officials understand we want them to protect every vote.
