How Stories Shape Justice Movements

Date: Wednesday, November 11, 2026
Time: 1:00 PM ET
Cost: $0 (Free Registration Required)
Location: Online via Live Stream (Link provided upon registration)

Join Sojourners for a special conversation with Margaret Atwood and Sojourners president Adam Russell Taylor about how stories can challenge injustice, inspire courage, and sustain hope during difficult times.

Across more than 50 books, including The Handmaid’s Tale, The Testaments, and the MaddAddam trilogy, Atwood has explored gender, political and religious power, democracy, environmental responsibility, and resistance. She has also written for Sojourners and joined us for conversations about Christianity, faithful activism, and creation care.

Together, Atwood and Taylor will consider what stories teach us about our responsibility to one another, how narrative can help move people from recognizing injustice toward creating something better, and why storytelling remains a vital force for social change.
