Tell Senators: Aiding Gaza ≠ Hurting Migrants
Our Senate is currently negotiating emergency aid for Gaza and Ukraine. The packages they are proposing will practically eliminate asylum. It is cruel and immoral for senators to pit humanitarian aid for Gaza against protecting immigrant communities. Our faith confirms there are abundant resources in creation to feed and welcome all.
Immigration policies cannot be tacked onto emergency aid requests and skip regular policy-making processes. The impacts of ending asylum would be disastrous.
Would you ask the Senate to expand their vision of care to inlcude both people who need aid abroad and those seeking refuge here?
