The Pluralism Leadership Academy is a selective cohort-based experience for emerging and aspiring public leaders from different religious communities, spiritual traditions, and values-grounded communities, including those with no religious affiliation. Through interactive workshops, participants build practical skills for engaging across differences, responding to polarization, and addressing real community challenges with others.

The Academy is a collaborative initiative led by UR Action, Sojourners, Shoulder to Shoulder Campaign, Muslim Americans in Public Service, and Repair the World. As part of this broader initiative, Sojourners is convening the Washington, DC cohort.

Selected participants in the DC cohort will take part in a three-part facilitated workshop series designed to strengthen constructive conversation skills, build relationships across difference, and support collaborative leadership for the common good.

What selected participants can expect

• a three-part in-person workshop series in the Washington, DC area

• practical tools for dialogue, media literacy, and bridge-building

• relationship-building with others committed to pluralism and public life

• possible participation in a final virtual capstone with participants from other Academy components

• a certificate of completion for those who complete the full DC workshop sequence
