Join Sojourners for a timely and thought-provoking conversation with Bishop Mariann Budde, author of We Can Be Brave: Decisive Moments in Life and Faith, and Adam Russell Taylor, Sojourners President, as we explore what it means to cultivate courage in moments that demand moral clarity.

In a time marked by deep polarization, public distrust, and growing pressure to remain silent in the face of injustice, people of faith are called to something deeper than fear, withdrawal, or performative outrage. We are called to speak truth with humility, act with integrity, and remain grounded in the way of Jesus as we engage the public square.

Drawing from her own life, leadership, and recent book, Bishop Budde will offer personal reflection and practical wisdom on learning to be brave. Together, we will consider how individuals and communities of faith can develop the courage to confront injustice, pursue peace, and bear public witness with compassion and conviction.

As part of Sojourners’ new quarterly webinar series, this conversation is designed not only to inspire, but also to equip participants with tools for meaningful action. Attendees will have space to reflect, engage in dialogue, and consider faithful practices for living out courage in their own communities.
