As Christians, we are bound to care for the needy, the vulnerable, and the poor, as we ourselves would like to be cared for. In Luke 10:29, Jesus was asked, “Who is my neighbor?” and he responded with the parable of the Good Samaritan, who went out of his way to care for someone once considered an enemy. It is with this spirit that we must reset our relationship with Cuba. In this moment, we must follow the best traditions of our faith and extend our hand to Cuba in love and charity.
