I’m reaching out because this moment is asking more of us. Immigrant communities are facing raids, detention, deportation, family separation, and policies meant to create fear. Many people want to respond, but no organization, congregation, or community can meet this moment alone. That is why Sojourners is launching Leadership Amplified: The Moral Immigration Cohort. This is not a one-time webinar or stand-alone training. It is a small, selective cohort for organizers who want to learn with Christian Latino leaders working on the front lines, build relationships across communities, and develop shared strategies for protecting people and challenging harmful narratives. The cohort will include: An in-person gathering in Washington, D.C., on August 26–27 Three virtual sessions through October Support for a collaborative organizing project developed by cohort members
The cohort centers the leadership and lived experience of Christian Latino organizers, while bringing together people working across race, geography, faith, and issue areas. You may see yourself in this opportunity. You may also know someone whose voice and leadership belong in the room. You can express interest, nominate another organizer, or do both.
